What is the feature of installing a Siemens dishwasher, how to properly connect all communications, we will tell in the article. When purchasing a dishwasher in the kitchen, the buyer first of all pays attention to the technical specifications and functionality, but the correct installation is no less important. Connection difficulties are encountered after purchase and transportation - read the instructions to do everything right.
Choosing an installation location
The type of dishwasher determines where the appliance will be mounted. The built-in model can be installed in furniture (cabinet, niche). For her, a place in a custom headset is provided in advance. If you want to integrate appliances into a finished kitchen, for example, Ikea, this is quite problematic, but possible. How to install a built-in dishwasher, read the article.
The freestanding PMM can be placed in any free corner. The main thing is to take into account the proximity of communications. The compact model fits perfectly on the table or under the sink. Here's what the masters recommend when installing the Siemens dishwasher:
- The place for the built-in PMM should be 1-2 cm wider than its body. Take independent measurements, the characteristics in the instructions are not always accurate.
- Solve gender issues. If the surface is uneven, you need to level it or prepare a special stand. Siemens machines are sensitive to tilts even a few degrees. For this reason, problems may arise with the discharge and intake of water.
- Think fastenings of elements and a front part. Install a metal sheet that will protect the countertop from steam. Usually it comes with the kit.
Important! To avoid additional expenses, laying sewer pipes, choose a place near the sink.
Selection of components
Details and tools for Siemens dishwashers are basically no different from other brands. There are some features:
- Hose "Aquastop". Not all machines are equipped with leakage protection. Therefore, you can purchase it separately. Give preference to original Siemens or Bosch parts. Although the latter are not always suitable.
- Drain and inlet hoses often go short. If their length is not enough for you to connect, it is better not to use extension cords. Also purchase elements of the Siemens brand that are 100% suitable for your model.
The mounts and connections of the Siemens dishwasher are rather non-standard. Therefore, be prepared for the fact that you have to buy parts or adjust the system to connect.
What is required:
- tee (brass or bronze) with a stopcock;
- flow filter;
- siphon on two branches;
- clamps, gaskets;
- waterproofing tape;
- two hoses.
The instruction manual may also indicate additional components:
- Pressure stabilizer. This is a special valve that protects the equipment from pressure drops, water hammer and other troubles.
- Network stabilizer. For powerful devices, it is recommended to install an automatic machine that will protect the electronic component from damage as a result of a power surge.
- Set of faucet and hose for connecting to a hot water supply.
Having prepared everything you need, you can proceed with the installation of the dishwasher.
How to install Siemens PMM correctly
Before you start connecting communications, prepare an electrical network. Such powerful equipment must not be plugged into a normal power outlet. It must be separate, moisture resistant, European standard and always with grounding.
If your network is not prepared, then you should draw a three-wire cable to the installation site. The socket is connected through a difavtomat and a stabilizer.
Since the power cords of the dishwashers are short, position the outlet at a level of 45-50 cm from the floor.
As soon as the work with electricity is completed, proceed to organize the discharge. There are two ways to connect:
- through a siphon;
- through the sewer.
It is more reliable through the siphon, in addition, you can connect the drain from the washing machine. Work sequence:
- install a siphon with two leads under the sink;
- fasten the fum tape against the thread to seal the connection;
- connect the end of the drain hose to the outlet, the other end to the dishwasher.
It remains to connect the Siemens PMM to the water supply:
- remove the hose from the faucet from the water pipe;
- screw on this place a brass tee with a tap;
- connect a mixer to one of the outputs;
- to the other - a flow filter, and then the Aquastop protection;
- wind the end of its hose onto the threads of the PMM inlet valve.
The work is over. Connect the dishwasher to the mains and carry out a test run. If the machine runs normally at startup, does not leak and does not give errors, it means that you did everything right. Finally, hang the facade door to hide the equipment in the headset.
Remember to clean the flow filter once every six months.
